I
agree with you Larry. I had hopes of attending the May meeting to
see for myself just what kind of bureaucratic shenanigans are going
on but missed the date. (Maybe a reminder again for those of us who
haven’t been attending; the dates or the day of the month these
meetings are held?) So many questions at this point that need to be
answered. It’s apparent the Board and Jomar have little if any
intention on answering our questions or addressing our concerns.
They conspire together with their own self-serving agenda.
Therefore; we need to ask of the 134 homeowners in Sierra Ridge (SR)how
we want to proceed from here?
As
I mentioned in a previous post we need a general consensus of what
the majority of SR homeowners want for our community. What you and
Chris have done here (blog) is an admirable and noble cause and
personally I feel there’s a substantial amount of support.
Unfortunately, the majority of that support continues to observe
from the shadows not yet willing to stick their necks out and speak
up for what’s rightfully due our community. Again I suggest we make
an effort to hold an informal gathering of some kind to share
concerns and establish a game plan. Some questions that need to be
addressed:
·
*Do the majority of
homeowners WANT change, and are they willing to support it?
·
*When are the next
elections held? Are they close enough that we can “Rally the Troops”
and devise a solid plan?
·
*Do we need to look into
impeachment? Is this even an option by the bylaws?
·
*What are our legal
obligations as far as even having a HOA?
·
*If the HOA was dissolved, how would the “issues” within SR
be handled?
·
*What are our obligations
as far as having a property management company?
·
*What other property
management companies are available?
I’m
sure there are many, many more topics that would come to light as we
begin to move forward. The biggest thing is…we need to begin moving!
I implore those of you who are reading this blog that if you agree,
please express your support (anonymously if you wish). If you
disagree then tell those of us hoping for improvements in how SR is
governed to shut up and accept the tyranny our current establishment
is providing if that’s the preference of the masses. One way or
another, we need to get a feel for the pulse of the community. One
or two sacrificial lambs speaking out for the good of the community
isn’t fair and also will not get the attention of Jomar and the
board, nor will it result in the positive improvements we’re
entitled to in SR. Strength in numbers my friends and neighbors….
