The election application
from Darren Mowrey, the ONLY resident with an illegal a/c unit on
his home addition, is hypocritical but not surprising.
His answer to why he is running for a position to serve on the Board
of Directors, Darren specifically states in #2, "to assure
compliance and fair enforcement of the governing documents of the
association."
Why isn’t Darren Mowrey in compliance? Jomar’s attorney gave a
legal opinion, which was read at one of our HOA meetings; “if and
before Darren’s house is sold, he would have to bring it into
compliance.” Also his gas lamp has been out since August.
As for his positive contributions – his application stated he wants
to host a community night? He has been on the Board for 16
years; I wonder why he hasn’t hosted a community night before now?
His latest scheme; Word out in the neighborhood is that Darren
Mowrey has been knocking on doors and asking people if they voted
for him. This is a political move even worse than the
politicians’ commercials we have to view nightly on TV. Our
community has a secret ballot policy and he has no business putting
our neighbors in an awkward position. Shame on Darren Mowrey!
What can we expect from this storyteller? I know I don’t want
him sitting on the Board of Directors of my community.
Time for him to step down after controlling the last 16 years.
I hope you feel the same way. It’s time for change.
